Sarah remembered her grandfather’s easy smile as she had complained to him about this grave injustice. He had given her a big hug that smelled, as it always did, of cigar smoke and clay and Grandfather, then said, “Would that were the most ignorant thing Mr Dickens had ever graced us with, my love.”

I was sent to this story some time ago by Kaitlin; I loooove it, have reread it several times, and have sent it to several friends. But, um... I was actually wondering if you would mind if I played with creating some art inspired by it? I'm pretty bad at completing things, but it's a very appealing project idea, if you don't object. I've never tried to illustrate anything before, and In Orbit has been a happy place for me since I read it nearly a year ago.
